Job Opportunity: Dairy Farmhands:Job description:Dairy FarmhandsPayment: Accommodation & Paid ($23-27p/h)Job location: Ashburton/Geraldine/Timaru Region: Christchurch & Canterbury practice: No practice Necessary Listing Added: 28/10/2022 We are currently looking for a motivated person/persons to join a progressive team as a Farm adjunct. located in South Canterbury near Geraldine, this location offers outdoor activities such as tramping, hunting, mountain biking and skiing all within driving distance. We are 2 hours from Christchurch, 3 hours from Dunedin and 4.5 hours from Queenstown. The spring calving herd of 1850 cows are milked through a 60 bail and 50 bail rotary cowshed, with protrack, ACR’s, automatic teat spraying and in-shed feeding, the facilities have been set up for an efficient operation. The accommodation available is a shared, furnished 3 bedroom weather board house with log burner and updated bathroom. Large carport. You will bring an active & enthusiastic contribution in the day-to-day running of the farm operations and have Health & Safety at the forefront of mind. We are seeking for someone who reflects a positive & cooperative attitude with a calm & well-balanced nature. Farming practice for the function is not essential, but would be an advantage, however being able to communicate effectively & openly with all people and to work well within & value being a part of a team, is essential.
