As a Service Designer your key function will be helping design and develop our life event, citizenship and identity related services around the needs of people who use them. The vision of Te Ara Manaaki, the programme responsible for this change is to transform the way New Zealanders access our identity and life event services - putting our customers and their wh?nau at the heart of everything we do, and continuously making Information technology easier for them to access services. About the function You will work closely with other Service Designers and the wider integrated design team to understand the needs of our staff and our customers. This includes user research and testing to understand business needs, problems and opportunities. You will contribute to: » working as part of a multi-functional team to design, develop and implement customer practice improvements and changes to services » identifying, leading or contributing to service and customer practice improvement and development initiatives for customers and our people » apply project methodology, design and change management practices when implementing product and service changes » delivering evidence-located service design - to inform decision-making and make sure services are designed and developed around the needs of people who use them » identifying and using insights to develop innovative services by conducting research or uscapability testing with customers and staff » effectively communicate and discuss solutions and options with key stakeholders It would be great if you also had some familiarity with: » UX and UI design for digital services » New Zealand Government web standards (accessibility and uscapability) » Project Management methodologies such as Agile and Prince2 AboutTe Tari Taiwhenua We are an equal opportunity employer that recognise a diverse and inclusive workforce which contributes to better results for New Zealand and are committed to creating a workplace where all employees have equal access.
