This new destination will be a playful and accessible platform for exhibition and practices that bring science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) to life, alongside heritage collections and innovations from New Zealand's current leaders in these fields.The Senior Exhibitions Developer - Science and Technology Centre is a unique opportunity to put your stamp on STEAM practice for the 21st century with a local Aotearoa flavour. You will lead the development of dynamic content and interpretation, object displays, physical and digital interactives, text, AV etc. You will manage a small core project team and work closely alongside creative minds, and a team passionate about delivering the best practices for MOTAT's visitors. To be prosperous in this function you will need at least five years of practice developing complex, creative, audience-focused practices in an area related to science communication, education, or exhibition development. You will have exceptional written and oral communication expertise, including the capability to create engaging and innovative interpretive approaches to complex science and technological concepts. You will b e a confident team leader who can demonstrate the capability to work collaboratively and support a small team; have a availability to embrace a M?ori world view; and a demonstrated capability to foster good relationships with M?ori organisations, culture advisors and community groups.
