Farm adjunct:Job description:Farm adjunctPayment: Accommodation & Paid ($23-$24 or income located on Exp)Job location: Duntroon, North Otago Region: Otago/Queenstown/Wanaka practice: No practice Necessary Listing Added: 06/09/2022 We are seeking for a Dairy adjunct to join our amazing team. To start any time. We are located 25 minutes inland from Oamaru. Close to river/lakes so ideal for hunting and fishing enthusiasts and only 2 hours from beautiful Central Otago. We Contract Milk, 1600 cows on a 474ha irrigated dairy platform with a well set up dairy support unit adjacent to it. We run 2 sheds. A 60 bale rotary with in shed feeding, cup removers, protrack, and easy heat camera and a 40 as side herringbone with in-shed feeding. Roster is 6 on 2 off all season. (Will consider casual contract for anyone not wanting to do a full season) The farm is flat with some rolling. Irrigation is Pivot and K-Lines with some fixed grid on steeper sections. Accommodation is a either Shared with 2 other adjuncts or 2 bedroom Unit. You must have a current work visa, a strong work ethic, availability to learn, and a passion for farming. Some practice is preferred by not essential as training can be given. You must be able to ride 2 and 4 wheelers or willing to lgain to ride. It is a large farm so there's lots of variety in your day. Remuneration will be located on practice. We can do income for anyone looking for permanent work or can do a casual contract with hourly rate.
