Our client is an NZ-owned and operated business ho has been operating out of central Auckland for over 50 years, and they are looking for a self-motivated individual who has the ability to work by themselves effectively and efficiently. As part of the role, you will be responsible for: Health and Safety » Identifying tasks/areas that do not comply with health and safety standards and initiating the appropriate corrective and preventative actions. » Leading Hazard Management. » Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 you must take all practical steps to ensure your own safety at work and that no action, or inaction, by you causes harm to any other person while at work. Cleanliness » Maintain a clean and safe environment for the day-to-day operation of the factory. » Maintaining cleanliness within the factory areas, identifying, and cleaning all surfaces, machinery and light fittings » Attending to possible spills, leaks, and clean-ups safely where required » Cleaning in and around injection moulding machines and ancillary equipment » Collect and dispose of rubbish Machinery Cleaning/Repairs » Effectively operate industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing machines correctly » With proper training, operate all cleaning machinery required to clean the carpark. » High level of machinery cleaning in the extruder area » Changing and cleaning air filters in machinery » Coordinate any repairs needed with maintenance.
