Job Opportunity: Lead Advisor:MinEducationJob description:Job Description»Lead Adviser»Early Childhood Education »Operational Funding team The ECE Operational Funding team within the Ministry of Education manages the delivery of operational funding to over 5,000 ECE services, kohanga reo and playgroups in New Zealand, as well as providing high quality advice and support for Ministers and sector stakeholders. If you have practice in public funding and advisory functions, we can offer challenging, interesting and varied work that will test your thinking and expertise. The Lead Adviser Operational Funding will lead, contribute and champion the business processes for funding of Early Childhood Educational Services, particularly around the electronic transfer of funding information. The Lead Adviser will be responsible for providing quality advice, information, coordination and support on funding related matters to ensure ECE services receive the funding they are entitled to and the Crown’s financial interests in the ECE sector are protected. In addition, the Lead Adviser will support the debt management process, business improvement frameworks and supervise the continuous improvement of the Ministry’s ECE funding system.
