Job Opportunity: Policy Analyst – Health Economics:Ministry of HealthJob description:Job DescriptionWe are seeking for an practiced and energetic analyst to join the office of the Chief Health Economist at the Ministry of Health.If you are an Economist who enjoys providing advice on economic strategies, have strong communication expertise and enjoy working closely with non-economists to provide robust analysis and options for meeting key health challenges, this might be the job for you. Please get in touch if you have: » two to three years significant post graduate work practice » worked in the public sector and are familiar with the machinery of government » a high level of adaptcapability and resilience, comfortable working on fast moving and high priority issues » a strong delivery focus and the capability to be an effective problem solver » a passion for collaboration; building knowledge about economics among non-economists » a commitment to using the best available evidence to inform our policy advice » strong communication expertise and a natural capability to positively influence a range of stakeholders including Senior leadership abilities teams. The work undertaken by the Office of the Chief Health Economist is varied with scope for you to influence what you are working on. You must have a strong background in economics and be confident in applying economic principles and evidence to policy problems. This is a permanent position; however we are open to discussing a fixed-term/secondment arrangement for the right candidate.
