Do you have practice working within one or more of the agencies in the Justice Sector? Do you want to be able to expand your scope of influence? The High Impact Innovation Programme (HIIP) is a programme of work that runs projects designed to have a positive impact on the Justice sector. The team develops these projects in house, as well as supporting other projects and programmes run across the sector. We are seeking for an adviser to join the operations arm of our team, who are responsible for providing operational advice to the project management teams, as well as supporting the implementation of the projects at frontline.

The purpose of the adviser function is to support operational implementation of initiatives and projects. This will include liaison with defendants/offenders, defence counsel, the Judiciary, Ministry of Justice, Ara Poutama Aotearoa and external agencies to obtain and receive information, support operational change to process and practice, and providing advice to a range of staff across the sector. this function serves as a critical link between HIIP and other parts of the Justice sector. The function also collates information, both qualitative and quantitative data, and prepares this for HIIP to assist in steering future projects and initiatives.

   » Excellent communication expertise, memorandum preparation practice.
   » Demonstrated practice in functions working within/across multiple sector agencies.
   » knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi requirements and Crown-M?ori relations.
   » capability to summarise information concisely for the purpose of reporting.
   » Sound technical knowledge of and proficiency with computer systems, mapping and the use of Microsoft Office products
   » An capability to undertake occasional national travel is part of the function.
Utu ?-tau | income
The mid-point of the income range is $78,130 per annum.Appointment and remuneration will reflect expertise and practice significant to the function.
