Reporting to the GM Finance, the function provides operational financial and analytical support to the significant General Managers and the Senior leadership abilities team. In addition, the Senior Accountant is required to ensure that accurate and timely reporting is delivered to clients in conformity with contract specifications, and the New Zealand (NZ) and Australian Head Offices (HO) as directed including the monthly management report. The Senior Accountant may be deployed as required to undertake a wide variety of activities within the business units as requested by the GM Finance. The Senior Accountant is also required to provide leadership abilities, guidance and direction to Accountants and Branch Accountants to ensure they can perform their functions effectively in line with agreed performance goals of the department. To be prosperous in this function; Attention to detail is a must, and Information technology will be something that testing will be carried out on within the interview process. There will also be testing around cognitive abilities, and of course, Excel. tasks include: » Supervising a team of 3 Branch Accountants » Ensure General Managers are provided with appropriate information to be able to report and make decisions on the performance of business units » Ensure that reports are equipped with appropriate information to be able to report and make decisions on the performance of business units » Conduct regular reviews on revenue generation, cost control and general expenditure issues » Month end involves a number of tasks that need to be completed in a timely manner to achieve set goals and deadline » Check, close off and run P&L reports for review by CM/GM with commentary » Enter fixed assets into FMS Fixed Assets » Maintain EXCEL models for budgets What is needed for the function: » CA/ CPA Qualification is preferred » practice leading/ mentoring a small team previously » expertise of IFRS and NZ GAAP » Advanced expertise of Excel » Very good Attention to detail expertise » A Keenness to lgain » Diligence and Resilience » Being prepared to be office located from 8am - 5pm - 4 days a week, with one day availble to WFH » Very strong communications - both written and verbal Apply now to avoid missing out At Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all.
