The Early Learning and Student Achievement Group (ELSA)
The Early Learning and Student Achievement Group sets the system-level learning for every child and student. Working between policy and customer facing functions, there is a significant political, stakeholder and public interest in the high performance of this group and the education curriculum and teaching workforce results we seek for New Zealand.
About Pathways and Progress
The function of the Pathways and Progress group is to set the direction for what students learn, how they progress and how school leaders and teachers can achieve that for every child and student across school years 1 to 13. The group uses evidence and educational trends to design targeted solutions, resources, tools and services that lift educational achievement for all. The group co-designs and co?develops innovative approaches to achieve policy intentions, plans prosperous implementati on strategies and monitors to ensure a return on investment
About the function
The Lead Adviser provides thought leadership abilities in the development of substantial and complex curriculum, teaching and learning advice with a focus on assessment design and tools.
this function will focus on delivering an iterative, innovative, and collaborative approach to analysis, combining authentic sector collaboration and co-design.
The Lead Adviser coaches others in the team to ensure that work is well informed by information and analysis of what works and applies significant tools and frameworks to inform innovative, future proofed designs.
