Offer: Kaiaarahi – Senior Consent and Policy Planner:TeKaahuioRauruJob description:Job DescriptionThe Consent and Policy Planner will work with the Puutaiao team on a range of consenting and environmental planning workstreams within the rohe of Ngaa Rauru Kiitahi. This includes:» Working collaboratively to uphold the rights and interests of the iwi, hapuu and marae. » Leading consenting workstreams, with support from the wider team, that span from pre-application discussions with community members, to commenting on consents lodged with various local authorities through to preparing submissions and evidence for notified consent processes. » Opportunities to share your expertise with the wider team to build the capacity and capcapability of whaanau, as well as lgain from the various expertise our wider team has to offer. » Assist in the development of a policy position on NPS-FM on behalf of iwi and hapuu. » You will also work to engage with Horizons and Taranaki Regional Council in the Freshwater Management Planning position. The Consent and Policy Planner provides guidance and advice on resource consenting matters on behalf of Te Kaahui o Rauru and hapuu of Ngaa Rauru kiitahi.You will work with stakeholders including the community, resource consent candidates, resource consent holders, interested or affected parties and to internal TKoR staff. You will also play a vital part in establishing and applying procedures for receiving, processing and managing resource consents. You will also assist in the developing a policy position on NPS-FM on behalf of iwi and hapuu and engage with Horizons and Taranaki Regional Council. As a small organisation, we require staff to be team players, multi-functional, and to pitch in and help as and when required.
