This Council Owned Organisation is set up to provide facilities, public venues and event centres for the region. In this function you will slot into the finance team to pick up day to day accounting functions with specific responsibility for: • Draft of month end accounts; processing journals & reconciling balance sheet accounts.
 
   »  Fixed asset register maintenance.
   »  Accounts receivable; processing invoices for facility bookings and events – working closely with venue managers. Ensuring all outstanding balances are recovered.
   »  Assist with cash flow forecasting
   »  Back up to payroll
   »  Assisting the Management Accountant and wider finance team when required.
 
This is a full-time permanent position (there may be some flexibility with hours).
 
To be a valuable asset to this team you’ll need to be able to pick up new tasks quickly and accurately, with good initiative and problem solving capability. Someone who enjoys contributing to a high functioning team, communicates and builds relationships across a business and has an inquisitive, curious mind will fit in well.
