Ng? k?rero m? te t?ranga – About the function
An opportunity exists for a highly motivated person to drive our M?ori student achievement initiatives at the University’s Tauranga campus. The predominate focus of this function will be to add value to the University practice of M?ori students through the efficient coordination of Te P?oho ki Te Toka a Tirikawa, our M?ori student hub and staff and the provision of events which promote excellence, participation and engagement of students from undergraduate through to PhD level.
You will work closely with a wider team of coordinators to ensure a consistent approach to M?ori student achievement across both the Hamilton and Tauranga campuses. Additionally, you will collaborate with the M?ori Student Achievement team in Hamilton and the Student Services team in Tauranga to achieve our goals.

You will have a tertiary qualification and an knowledge of te reo and tikanga M?ori. Information technology is essential to have prior work practice in managing a team of people and understand the tertiary sector. Your practice in organisational and financial management will be highly utilised by the different aspects of this function. You will also be able to showcase your effective communication expertise across different stakeholder groups.
income will be in the range of $74,802 to $86,268 per year located on expertise, knowledge and practice brought to the position. This is a full-time permanent function which is located in Tauranga.
