About us:
In a field where the pace of change is rapid, the Digital Public Service branch works with and through agencies to drive and deliver a customer-centred digital government. Playing a key function in supporting the Government Chief Digital and the strategy for the Digital Public Service, We are seeking for talent who can work collaboratively to leverage our people and technology, to improve and drive for a unified digital public service for all New Zealanders.
About the function:
Reporting to the Director Planning Performance and Support, these functions will be part of a team working across all areas of the machinery of Government to deliver critical support, advice and management of information and processes to enhance the workings of the branch.
You will be strongly supported in an environment that values continuous improvement and fosters a culture of encouraging ?big picture? thinking to help our people connect and strive towards excellence.
What will you bring to the function?
You will bring a collaborative style to your work with the confidence to manage relationships at all levels while being able to create new connections to positively achieve multiple results. You will have the capability to navigate complex situations with ease, and bring demonstrated capability to work at pace to deliver smart solutions and recommendation to time critical requests.
What you will need to succeed:
   » Proven practice in providing recommendations, analysis and improvements to achieve results and deliver value.
   » Be a seasoned professional in dealing with OIA/ ministerial briefings and other significant public-sector corporate accountcapability documents.
   » A pragmatic and solutions focused approach in providing sound advice to senior leadership abilities which influence decision making and creates results.
   » We are committed to increasing our cultural confidence as an organisation and a good level of knowledge in Te Reo M?ori would be incredibly valuable.
   » Exemplary written and oral communication expertise with demonstrated practice in developing concise, arcuate and audience appropriate briefs and reports
   » Excellent time management expertise, including an capability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
   » capability to drive a consistent and coordinated approach to stakeholder engagement and fostering ownership with a strong knowledge of inter-agency processes
   » Sound conceptual and analytical expertise with the capability to analyse complex policy and programme issues and interpret legislation to provide credible advice
