Offer: Albert-Eden Community Arts and Events Broker:Job description:Job detailsOrganisation Auckland Council Closes 1 Aug 2021 Posted on 15 Jul 2021 Region Auckland Work type Contract, Expressions of interest Work classification Community & Access Arts, Management & Admin ShareThe Albert-Eden Community Arts and Events Broker programme is a community initiative that is funded by the Albert-Eden Local Board and will tap into the existing creative community in the Albert-Eden area to support and enable a range of temporary arts activities and projects.The programme of work developed through the projects supported by the arts broker will include delivery across the whole of the Albert-Eden Local Board area; engage with and reflect the diversity of the area; activate existing public spaces, such as streets, parks, town centres or empty shops; demonstrate partnership with other local community arts organisations and include a diverse range of art forms. Information technology is constructed with reference to the Local Board Plans as well as the Auckland Council Arts and Culture Strategic Action Plan, Toi Wh?tiki. The work programme also includes a considerable commitment to supporting local creative projects through advice, support, and connection to possible resources. Minimum practice / qualifications » Five years in an arts delivery function » Degree or equivalent practice » practice in community-located work A budget of $45,000 has been allocated to fund the contracted hours of thebroker from 12 August 2021 - 30 June 2022. A further project fund of $85,000 has been allocated to support the delivery of a work programme of activity (This is divided into $50,000 for Arts projects and $35,000 Events projects). The prosperous candidate will be required to hold public licapability insurance with $2 million in cover.
