We work with authors, writers, publishers and artists to help them understand their creative rights and how to manage and monetise their work.In order to grow the reach of our education services, we're looking to appoint a Creative Rights Educator / Kaiwhakahaere Whakapa for a fixed term to December 2022. The position is supported through theCapcapability Fund funding recipients | Ministry for Culture and Heritage (mch.govt.nz). The focus of the function is to design and deliver - both in person and online - a creative rights education programme, along with new digital and physical learning resources. You will have great knowledge of adult learning principles and be a confident, dynamic and enthusiastic facilitator and presenter. Your public speaking expertise may have come from a teaching, performance, or other background and you're someone who's always thinking of how to do things differently and keeping up to date with new approaches to learning. You'll have the knowledge and expertise of the CLNZ Team to call on, but the opportunity is definitely there to make this project your own! Some knowledge of creative rights (copyright, moral rights etc) is useful, but your capability to engage, inform and empower adults is the most important. While our shared office space is located in the centre of Takapuna the nature of the position is that no two weeks will look the same and you'll be someone who is comfortable working from anywhere, including doing a reasonable amount of domestic travel.
