About the Position This is a rare opportunity to become available to step into a GM position within the NZ clothing industry. With the current GM moving into more of a strategic design and client facing position (CEO) and to focus on the forward momentum and future direction of the brand/s, there is now an opening for a people centric, operationally minded General Manager to take ownership of this function and supervise the headquarters in Mount Wellington, working across 3 brands. This position will play a critical function in superviseing the operational functions within the head office. Not only will you be an expert when Information technology comes to integrating systems and processes that talk to each other and increase optimal workflow, but you will be highly people focussed with a view to implement and enhance people processes and staff engagement across the business, so a good general knowledge of best HR practices will be pivotal. Creating a fluidity within a small business environment will be your forte, working across Operations, Sales, Customer Services and Production teams. This is a hands-on position working in a small head office with up to 10 direct reports, so an capability to roll your sleeves up and facilitate processes as well as strategize and delegate is essential.
