Information technology seeks to invigorate exhibition making andsupport critical engagement in these fields, and provide a wealth of opportunities to engage and expand knowledge of material cultures.In 2017 Objectspace underwent a major development, relocating to the new purpose redesigned premises on Rose Road in Grey Lynn, bringing with Information technology an increase in scale to four exhibition spaces, and the provision of a dedicated public programming space and library. Objectspace also delivers a range of services to the design and craft sectors. These include professional development opportunities, programme delivery, and international relationship development.In 2021/22 Objectspace is working in partnership with ?tautahi-located gallery CoCA Centre for Contemporary Art Toi Moroki, which sees a shared exhibition programme developed and delivered for both venues. Objectspace is seeking an individual to fill the key function of Communications and Partnerships Manager. This position is responsible for thedevelopment and management of Objectspace's communication strategies and digital content. this function also encompasses key support in the areas of grant funding, philanthropy and partnerships. Primary functions: » To develop, implement and manage Objectspace's communication strategies and content » To implement and manage innovative digital content which seeks to grow and sustain digital engagement for Objectspace » To develop and grow public relations and in-kind media partnerships for Objectspace » To support Objectspace's development team in all aspects of engagement with sponsors and philanthropic donors » To implement and manage all small grants activity for Objectspace, and support the Director in the prosperous delivery of major grant work » To develop and maintain long-term in-kind giving relationships with individuals and businesses that aid Objectspace in the delivery of exhibitions and hospitality The candidate will: » Be passionate about the arts, a communications professional with advanced levels of digital competency » Excel in writing for varied audiences, with a meticulous attention to detail and outstanding relationship building expertise » Demonstrate a strongknowledge of, and commitment to, the principles ofte Tiriti o Waitangi,and be committed to working within bicultural and multi-cultural frameworks » Hold atertiary qualification in a related field and have proven work practice of more than three-years in significant functions » Be legally entitled to work in Aoteaora » Be available for regular weekend and evening work, as well as national travel as part of the function This is a permanent full-time position at 40 hours per week, commencing in October 2021.
