We have a team of 5 people, milking 1000 cows on the farm, milking through a rotary shed. We have the latest technology in the shed and on the farm, using protrack in the shed and Halter collars on the farm for animal health and fencing/moving. Calf rearing gets underway from the end of July and continues on until Mid October, after which, work on the other parts of the dairy farm, runoff or our other cropping farm is available. Been able to get along, laugh and work with others as a team is a must. Both people could be on the same roster on different parts of the farm, allowing time off together for rest and travelling/sightseeing. We are located in the South Island, 20 minutes south of Timaru at the village of St Andrews. The ideal people would join our team for a minimum of four months until mid November or longer if they wished, and have had previous practice working with livestock or large animals. One position is located on the dairy farm and the other with rearing the calves and relief milking.
