Capital Works manages the planning and delivery of major redevelopments, new builds and infrastructure upgrades for New Zealand schools as part of the Education Infrastructure Service (EIS), one of the largest property portfolios in New Zealand. About the function It’s an exciting time here at the Ministry of Education and we are on the hunt for a Project Advisor to join an exciting new programme within the Education Infrastructure Group as we embark on a major transformation. this function will be focussed on superviseing the implementation of transformational work to help improve the way the Ministry plans and invests in infrastructure. Information technology underpins how the Ministry will meet the Government target of all schools providing quality learning environments by 2030. The Project Advisor has a key function in providing senior technical support, advice and thought leadership abilities on the development, change impact and implementation of new frameworks, processes, systems and tools. About you If you’re excited about change and are able to work confidently in a transformational setting, to help guide and develop the tools we need to succeed, then we’re keen to hear from you. You will offer the following: » practice and proven skills in a senior function responsible for the development and implementation of service-focussed practice guidance, preferably in a large and/or complex operational delivery context » In-depth knowledge of service design principles, proven skills in the development of practice standards and guidance, and evaluation methods » A track record of success and results in project planning and project management » Good relationship skills and the capability to facilitate results through personal credibility and influence – an effective leadership abilities presence with peers Are you ready to make a difference?
