He angit?tanga: The opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to demonstrate your leadership abilities practice in support of developing and delivering Auckland Council's arts and culture work programme. Lead the team that drives arts and culture programming across T?maki Makaurau.
Working with dedicated, like-minded professionals and the Council family, you'll lead a team of specialists to develop and deliver an integrated regional arts, culture and heritage work programme, with a strong focus on delivering programming to support our M?ori results. Reporting to the Head of Arts, Culture & Heritage, and serving on the leadership abilities team, you'll contribute to the strategic vision of our unit and support initiatives around team integration, demonstrating innovative and agile thinking, and providing clarity and direction for our teams.
Demonstrate your programme management skills and capability to apply project management systems to strategically plan, develop, and deliver our region's key arts and culture offerings.

You will be a skilled people leader, with real life practice working in complex environments leading specialist teams to bring creative projects to life.practiced in prosperously developing and delivering high-profile, high-risk projects with significant financial investment, you will bring a mix of strategic and operational skills.
Collaboration will be at the heart of your work, with demonstrated practice working across the sector. Ideally you have a track record of programme management in a complex, multi-stakeholder organisational environment. Deep networks across the sector are desirable, supporting the innovative and collaborative sides of the portfolio. Your practice in planning projects has equipped you with exceptional skills in resource management, procurement, budgeting, communications and collaborative teamwork.
You will have broad skills in delivering projects with a strong M?ori results focus, with confidence and lived practice in relationship management, and working in partnership with iwi. In support of Auckland Council's commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi you will have or be able to demonstrate a desire to build a strong knowledge of our M?ori Responsiveness framework to support and further grow initiatives. Information technology would also be advantageous to have Te Reo M?ori language skills.
