Job Description

At T?maki Paenga Hira, Auckland War Memorial Museum, our collection, the work we undertake and the practices we offer, inspire curiosity.

As one of Auckland's leading visitor attractions, now more than ever we want to connect with our Auckland communities and Kiwis right across the country to drive consciousness of, and visitation to, our museum.
And of course, we're looking forward to welcoming international tourists back to our shores when it's safe to do so.
this function is responsible for developing and implementing integrated marketing plans which drive consciousness, revenue and visitation. Exhibitions, tours, public programmes retail and hospitality offerings along with our permanent galleries, are all core components of our public offer.
We are seeking for a person who also has commercial competency, as the Marketing Manager will lead the support of the Museum's revenue generating portfolio. In addition, the Museum's CRM strategy is part of the Marketing Manager's responsibility.
With two direct reports, the Marketing Manager will deliver campaigns which support our Five-Year Strategy. You'll be able to think strategically and act tactically as you work across the organisation.

Desired expertise and practice

To be prosperous in this position, you will:
   » Well versed expertise in developing marketing strategy with fully integrated marketing plans
   » Be practiced in using data and customer behaviour insights to inform planning
   » Demonstrated competency in commercial marketing, ideally with a tourism or visitor attraction background
   » Proven practice in CRM and/or loyalty marketing with the capability to lead direct-to-customer communications strategy and plans
   » practiced in managing a diverse range of stakeholders
   » Competent in managing budgets
   » An excellent written and oral communicator
   » capability to guide and evaluate creative
   » practice in leading and developing teams
