Te Rito Maioha Early Childhood New Zealand (ECNZ) are proud to be one of NZ’s top early childhood and primary school education providers, having the highest Category One status awarded by NZQA. We pride ourselves on our bicultural kaupapa, fresh thinking and best practice for teachers in ECE and Primary school. As Regional Education Leader, you will be effectively managing a small, diverse group of Lecturers to deliver high quality teacher education programmes. You will lead and facilitate community networking, attract and retain students and members and facilitate professional learning and development initiatives and other events. Promoting and maintaining positive relationships with local Kaumatua, iwi and ECE stakeholders and providing pastoral care for locally located students will also be key to your success. You will enjoy; the support of a network of other REL’s all over Aotearoa who share your vision of top-quality teaching and leadership abilities in ECE, generous study leave, continuing professional development and a competitive income. As REL your function will include a research component giving you the opportunity to tie your Masters or PhD study to your function and contribute to our research strategy.
