Offer: Dairy & Beef (once A Day Milking):Job description:Dairy & Beef (once A Day Milking)Payment: Accommodation & Paid ($21.20-$25/hr negotiable)Job location: Waitomo Region: Waikato/Coromandel practice: No practice Necessary Listing Added: 13/10/2022 We are not your normal dairy farm - we milk once-a-day all year with a milking start time of 8am (so no 5am starts!). We are a combined dairy and beef farm located in the beautiful Waitomo district. We are seeking for somone to join our team for a minimum of 3 months from November (start date flexible) through to Feb - this could be extended if the prosperous candidate is seeking work for a longer period. we At Presentmilk 700 cows and have 940 2year old beef cattle on farm. We have a 40 bale rotary cowshed. The function will predominantly be on the dairy farm helping with milking the cows, shifting cows, general maintenance, spraying weeds with potentially some involvement on the beef side in the cattle yards. No practice is needed as this is provided on the job but a good knowledge of and spoken English is required. We have a team of 4 fulltime staff, a part-time staff member and ourselves. We are a family oriented business and our people are important to us. We run a flexible roster system to suit different people in our team and their work/life balance - our only requirement is to work every second weekend. Some are on a roster of 10days on 4 days off, others 11 days on 3 days off, and another within school hours plus every second weekend and the other on 3days on 2 days off 7days on 2 days off (4 days off in a fortnight split into 2 blocks of 2 days) - se we are happy to fit the roster to fit in with the prosperous candidates goals. We have fully furnished accommodation provided in the form of a self-contained tiny house. Information technology is set up for students and backpackers and is set away from other houses (i.e. Information technology is not a sleep-out). candidates must have a current drivers licence and their own form of transportation to ensure they have independance.
