Our team provides a professional accreditation service on behalf of seven Government Agencies, covering 2,000 social service providers/organisations. Our main function is Social Services Accreditation. We provide assurance that social service providers can deliver safe, quality services. We do this by assessing organisations against our Social Services Accreditation Standards and making sure they meet these standards. We also provide other services on behalf of other government agencies, including Pay Equity Claim Oversight and Support and Core Worker Exemptions. About the function We are seeking for a Senior Advisor (Culture and Engagement) fixed term / secondment for 12 months to join our national office team. As a Senior Advisor you will support the development and application of Te K?hui K?hu's cultural lenses to apply to accreditation standards, collaborating with Senior Assessors, Policy and Practice Advisors and the Training Lead. The work will involve working closely with the National Manager, M?ori and the National Manager, Accreditation and their senior staff. As a Senior Advisor you provide high quality advice and support to the leadership abilities Team and Manager, Policy, Practice and Business Enablement to ensure that key accountabilities are met in relation to this work programme. The function will have both a developmental and a strong implementation focus. This includes carrying out analysis and providing technical advice relating to the work programme. You will be expected to exercise thought leadership abilities, including participation in cross functional improvement teams. The function will have a focus on designing best practice. expertise and practice Our ideal candidate will offer: • Detailed expertise of Te Ao M?ori and Pacifika culture • Proven project planning practice • practice in designing professional development/staff training • High quality written and verbal communication expertise • Proven practice in stakeholder engagement • Operational policy and process development • Analytical capability • Prior practice in QA/ Assurance, Assessor or similar functions • practice working in, or for, Kaupapa M?ori or Pacifika is desirable In turn, we offer you a chance to make a difference the community, in a supportive work environment.
