Job Opportunity: General Manager – Parliamentary Catering:parliamentaryserviceJob description:Job DescriptionWe are seeking for a strong leader with a customer-oriented, strategic approach for this newly created position, managing the food and beverage venues across the Parliamentary precinct.Parliamentary Service are preparing to bring our currently contracted catering requirements in-house and establish a new Catering unit. Our Catering team will be dedicated to showcasing New Zealand’s best produce and products and delivering great hospitality practices at Parliament. Te tima –The team Our Catering team manages a number of food and beverage venues within the Parliamentary precinct, each offering a different and unique practice. These include the Copperfields cafe, Pickwick’s bar, and the Bellamy’s restaurant. A further function of the team is providing catering and hospitality services for the numerous functions that are held on the Parliamentary precinct. Mo te tunga –About the function We are pursuing a high performing leader to bring their practice to Parliament, managing the strategic and operational functions of the Parliamentary Catering team. Bring your previous practice in the hospitality sector and help to ensure the delivery of exemplary customer service and a financially sustainable operations model. You will provide overall leadership abilities to the team and supervise the delivery of the team’s operations, while also ensuring that service expectations of the Parliament and it’s stakeholders are met. Nga haepapa – Job responsibilities: » Provide leadership abilities to the whole Parliamentary Catering team to ensure the team are meeting their objectives and delivering for their customers » Develop high quality business strategies and plans to ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives » Build trust-located relations with all staff, key partners and stakeholders » Make high-quality financial and operational planning decisions to advance the business and ensure commercial vicapability To kete –What you will bring to the function : » Previous broad practice as a food and beverage leader in a property with multiple outlets and catering departments » Strong leadership abilities qualities and a genuine passion for the industry » Established and proven expertise in multi-tasking, time management and organisation The appointing income range for this function is $139,839 to $154,393 per annum. Appointments will be located on expertise and practice (please note, the full income range extends beyond this to allow for tenure progression).
