They are one of the largest suppliers in their field and, due to growth in the preceding 3 years, are looking for an practiced Operations Manager to supervise their large complex Auckland operation and implement and improve processes, creating structure as the business continues to grow. About the function: The Operations Manager will have ownership of the overall site management. This includes yard management, Health & Safety, compliance, despatch, liaising with clients as well as taking care of supply logistics. On the administrative side, they will be required to improve processes, manage performance, be involved in recruitment and be a strong analyser of numbers and generating reports. About you: To be considered for the function you will: » Have a strong logistics background » Be self-managing, honest, brash, and thick skinned » Be proactive and curious » Proved commitment to your work and are quick to respond to any after hour calls, ensuring high performance of the business » Be tech savvy, and able to incorporate technology into the operation as the business expands and grows. » Be hands on » Have great communication expertise » Data and numbers driven.
