Farm adjunct Or Herd Manager:Job description:Farm adjunct Or Herd ManagerPayment: Paid Position ($23+)Job location: Duntroon, Waitaki Valley Region: Otago/Queenstown/Wanaka practice: Limited practice Necessary Listing Added: 28/03/2021 We are seeking for 2 people to join our dairy farming team, we run two dairy farms adjacent to each other. We are seeking for a person for each farm. tasks will include milking, break fencing, getting cows in, general farming tasks. The farms are located in the beautiful Waitaki Valley at Duntroon, 35mins inland from Oamaru in the South island of New Zealand. We are a family run business, Chardan Farms Ltd is milking 1900 cows through two dairy sheds. One shed milks 850 cows and the other 950 cows. Both dairy sheds have great technology, good infastructure and our team is hard working, fun with a great work ethic. Training will be provided, prior experince in farming is preferred. 50 Hours per week, roster of 6/1-5/2 during July-Nov then 5/2 the rest of the year. Renumeration negotiable dependant on practice. We are seeking for 2 people to join our team, one for each farm. This could be suited to a couple or friends who are looking for a reliable place to work. We would prefer longer term, but with our farms being centrally located, we can offer great day trips or weekend get aways. We are 35 minuties to the Waitaki lakes, 1.5 hours to Twizel, 2 hours to Dunedin & Wanaka, 3 hours to Queenstown, 4 hours to Christchurch. Skills:
