Position Description and Key Performance Indicators

Position:
Ticketing Manager

Extent of Contract:
$23-$25 an hour depending on practice
January to 18 March 2022 (total 300 hours)

To supervise all Fringe ticketing including online, in person, and phone sales, everyday reconciliations, artists ticketing enquiries, and all complimentary ticketing.

Reports to:
Operations Manager

Consults with:
Artist & Venue Manager, Marketing Manager, Business Manager, Fringe Director

Manages:
Interns, Volunteers, paid FoH staff (in association with Operations Manager)

Key Relationships:
CCAT Team, Audiences, Artists, Venues
Box Office Management
   »
Assist with set-up, look & feel of box office
   »
Maintain a tidy space
   »
supervise sales and inventory of merchandise
   »
everyday sales reconciliations
   »
Show reconciliations
   »
Box office is well kept and records are easy to discern
   »
Show reconciliations achieved within 14 days
Industry Engagement
   »
Be point of contact for Judges, Sponsors, Tour-Ready Presenters and Staff ticket bookings
   »
Coordinate comp booking approvals through Red61 microsites
   »
Tickets are booked swiftly
Event delivery
   »
Assist at all festival run events
   »
Coordinate special ticketing requirements for festival events
   »
All events are run smoothly
Reporting
   »
Provide monthly update/reports
   »
Provide an end of festival wrap up report
   »
Contribute to annual event reports for funders and sponsors in consultation with Fringe Director and Operations Manager
   »
Festival Director has an overview of sales as they go
   »
Reports are delivered in a timely manner
HR
   »
Support the Operations Manager with training ticketing staff
   »
Ticketing staff are empowered to work without guidance
Ticketing System
   »
Assist with management of all events in Red61
   »
Assist Operations Manager with formalising processes

Set-up and manage ticket offers

Manage cancelled events through Red61
   »
Ticketing system is maintained and kept up to date with significant changes
Audience Engagement
   »
Be approachable and friendly to artists and audiences offering festival information and ticketing services

Coordinate all audience communication around cancelled, or updated events
   »
Coordinate ticket offer mail outs with marketing team
   »
Manage the Box Office inbox
   »
Provide excellent customer service
   »
Audiences are informed and up to date with latest information
   »
Audiences say positive things about their practice

Maximise ticket sales
Participant Engagement
   »
contact with Artists around ticketing issues

Issue all Artists with reconciliation reports

Finance

Responsible for everyday reconciliations

Responsible for bank runs and cash floats

Responsible for sorting venue floats

Assist operations manager with artist ticketing payments

Accounts are easily reconciled in Xero
Festival Assistance
   »
Be the voice of Fringe, answer phones and deal with general enquiries
   »
Help set up and staff festival events including Opening Showcase and Fringe Awards
   »
Work with CE, FD and BOT to coordinate Friends of Fringe event
   »
Phone messages are dealt with in a timely manner

Volunteers
   »
Scheduling all volunteers for NZ Fringe
   »
Key point of contact for volunteers all over the festival
   »
Support the Operations Manager with compiling Volunteer pack
   »
Support the Operations Manager with training in the week leading up to the festival
   »
Volunteers are scheduled, trained and well informed
