Digital Service Designer
This is an opportunity for someone who is practiced as a Digital Services Designer / UX Designer, who has a background in developing the UX strategy and designs for external and internal websites, to work alongside our Digital Communications team and internal web development team to fundamentally change the practice for our clients and staff.
About the function
MSD is about to embark on a journey of re-imagining and re-platforming its external websites, intranet and front-line expertise bases. We are seeking for a Digital Services Designer who is customer-practice focused and able to work and guide our digital communications teams and IST delivery teams in delivering a new practice.
We'll need you to think big and help shape the future, as well as be comfortable to focus on short-term tactical pieces of work, and sometimes chip in to help the team on some of the simpler items such as email design.
We are just at the start of our journey, so you'll need to be pro-active to develop relationships across the organisation, work with our Business Analysts to elicit requirements to inform your designs and wireframes, to help us start on the right track and build wisely for the future.
Key Job responsibilities:
   » Define the website's UX research, user testing and customer practice research and measurement requirements.
   » Create a UX strategy, aligning user research, user testing and customer practice measurement activities to inform decision making and action.
   » Ownership of all UI and UE for MSDs core external and internal websites as well as expertise bases.
   » Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps.
   » Develop UI mock-ups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how the sites function and look like.
   » Create and continuously improve MSD's design templates located on branding and government digital standards.
   » Collaboration with the product and development team to design new features and functionality.
   » Work closely with our Customer practice team, Service Designers, and UX Designers within IST to develop a cohesive practice across MSD's services and systems.
   » Provide advice on prioritisation to the Business and Technology Product Owners located on Customer Insights and practice.

income range: $91,341.00 – $111,639.00
