Over 25 years the Waiheke Community Art Gallery has built a solid reputation for excellence through its annual exhibition programme, its development of emerging artists, and making the visual arts accessible to our community. Information technology will continue to play an important function in the current and future art community in Waiheke Island, Auckland, and the broader arts community in New Zealand. You will be the public face of the gallery and will need to have practice across a broad range ofarts and culture management including public programmedevelopment and delivery, supporting artists, audience development, marketing communications and assisting the Gallery's volunteer board with strategy development. You will have strong and significant networks and know how to leverage these in the service of our mahi. Supported by the gallery team you will supervise all operational aspects of thegallery including planning and delivery of the exhibition programme, public engagement, visitor practice, fund raising, budgetmanagement and volunteer coordination. In addition to the annual gallery exhibition calendar, you will also have responsibility for the planning and delivery of the annual Waiheke Homes Tour, the Walker and Hall Waiheke Art Award and other Gallery run events. Reporting directly to the Chair of the Gallery Committee, you will be responsible for supporting, coordinating and working closely with guest curators, artists,contractors and other professionals.
