Families are the most powerful influence on a child’s progression and achievement. Building powerful partnerships between whanau, employers, communities and educators will help raise aspirations and lift progress and achievement for all learners. We design and deliver initiatives and programmes that support these partnerships with a focus on tamariki the education system has not served well – Maori, Pacific and disabled learners and whanau in particular. About the function We are seeking for an Integration Advisor to support how we communicate. this function will have lots of variety because Information technology works across our group. The Integration Advisor will lead the communications and craft storytelling across our work programme. this function provides managers and staff with communications advice on strategic communications, key messaging, approaches to channels, develops content, and contacts with the Corporate Communications team. The Integration Advisor will lead advice on the best way to reach our key audiences and develops innovative and engaging m aterials and resources. The function will support delivery of programmes and initiatives across the group and works closely with our content producers. this function also supports collaboratively ways of working with colleagues across the Ministry, to ensure messaging and activities are aligned. About you You will be passionate about improving results for learners and families and have a strong belief that partnerships with parents, whanau and communities is crucial to learner success. We are seeking for someone who understands the importance of story-telling in influencing behaviour change and knows how to engage with people effectively. You will have: » a track record of developing effective communications and collateral » practice in planning communications and strategies for engagement » outstanding relationship management expertise with the capability to connect with others, influence thinking, and partner with others » some practice working collaboratively and effectively with our key audiences (parents and whanau, Pacific communities, disabled peoples, iwi and Maori, and employers) » a track record of communications or projects where you pushed the boundaries and delivered innovative and creative solutions » a practical knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and the aspirations and needs of akonga Maori, their whanau, hapu and iwi.
