Job Opportunity: Youth Coach (NEET):Youth Coach (NEET) Vibe – Hutt Valley Youth Health TrustJob description:Job DescriptionVibeVibe (Hutt Valley Youth Health Trust) is the Hutt Valley's Youth One Stop Shop delivering holistic health and wellbeing services to any young person aged 10-24 living in the Hutt Valley. Vibe has been delivering services which support young people to thrive and achieve their potential for the past 23+ years. The Youth Service Team, within Vibe, has a vision to help young people realise their full potential and support them to create opportunities for their future. The Youth Service team support this vision by working alongside young people and connecting them into education and/or employment. Vibe provides support through this service to young people who are not engaged in education or training (NEET). This position is working within the NEET team. We have multiple functions available. Are you » An practiced and qualified Senior Youth Worker or Social Worker looking for a challenging and fulfilling function? » practiced in working with young people, and a passion to see them fulfil their potential? » Interested in supporting young people to prosperously engage or re-engage with education and / or training? expertise and practice The ideal candidates will have the expertise and practice required to meet the demands of the function including: » Holds a significant social service qualification and professional registration » Significant practice in working with young people aged 10 - 24 years, particularly those with complex needs and not engaged in education or training » Passionate about working with young people andsupporting their health and development » A robust working knowledge of, and commitment to the principles of Positive Youth Development and Mana Taiohi » Cultural competency and demonstrable knowledge and skill about kaupapa M?ori, Te Reo M?ori, Te Tiriti ? Waitangi and Pacifica protocols. » Well-developed interpersonal expertise and the capability to support teamwork and co-operation between staff, including those on different geographical sites » Have excellent communication expertise, written and verbal » An knowledge of the impact of trauma, adolescent brain development and relational practice approaches » A full, clean drivers' licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes This is an exciting function that will challenge and give you the opportunity to be part of an organisation committed to the young people of the Hutt Valley.
