We are seeking for a Chef to join our team at Lakestone Lodge with uninterrupted views of Aoraki/Mt Cook and Lake Pukaki. We are seeking for a keen chef with at least 1 years practice in fine dining. We only cater for our inhouse guests which is usually a maximum of 12 guests per night and breakfast for the same number, so We are seeking for quality not quantity here. Working under our head chef Steffen, he can mentor more junior chefs as required. We are centrally located near Mt Cook, Twizel and Lake Tekapo and a day trip to Queenstown, Wanaka and Christchurch so a perfect base to explore from. Hours The hours are very flexible and we can offer between 20 and 40 hours per week (between 2.5 days - 6 days per week) depending on how much you would like to work/earn, leaving the rest of the time for you to go, hiking, fishing, exploring, hunting, swimming, cycling ……. There will be some spilt shifts of 7:30am-12:30pm and 6pm-9:30pm also leaving the afternoon to explore. About the Lodge: Lakestone Lodge is a five-star, purpose built, six bedroom, off grid, luxury lodge positioned in a spectacular location on the shores of Lake Pukaki. this function is for a chefs who is legally entitled to live and work in New Zealand and holds a current visa or is citizen /permanent resident. We will consider sponsoring long term after you have worked with us for a season / 6 months.
