The Data and Information Stewardship (DIS) group is looking to secure a passionate BI Developer who want to be part of their reporting journey. Their vision is to enable the organisation to be better at the dissemination of data thereby providing an exceptional customer practice for all New Zealand educational users. The function ofLead Data Warehouse Developer The Lead Data Warehouse Developer is responsible for directing Data Warehouse projects within the Data Solutions and Warehousing team, streamlining the Ministry’s data and information solutions, and aligning them with the Ministry’s strategic direction, business needs and government and industry standards. The Data and Information Stewardship group (DIS) is responsible for developing and executing policies, practises, procedures, and technology to manage the date and information lifecycle to deliver in the needs of data information users. The group champions the safe and appropriate use of data and information for better decision making. The person We are seeking for a person that takes ownership of delivering a customer focused service, ensuring the delivered product meets the customer requirements and exp ectations. This person should lead by example, be a problem solver and have the capcapability to drive a concept to reality, while taking the team on the journey. They are a natural leader with the capability to prosperously mentor and ensure staff progression occurs. They must have a can-do attitude, with the capabilities of finding and implementing a workable solution to an issue or problem. They should think outside the box, whilst working with architects to implement continuous improvement to processes, policies, technologies, and architecture. They must have strong technical expertise, preferably in the Microsoft stack, with exposure to a functional data warehouse environment. Be able to act as a subject matter expert (SME) to others, with the capability to explain in both technical and non-technical terms the warehouse capabilities and design. Like to know more?
