About our group and team We are pursuing an Advisor to join our Planning and Performance team. The team leads the development of internal and external strategy, planning and reporting documents, supporting the Ministry to agree priorities and report an evidence-located performance story. The team is part of Corporate Strategy and Performance (CSP), which brings together planning and performance, enterprise risk management, project and investment advice and governance to provide coherent insight and strategic advice that enables senior leaders and boards to focus on delivering equitable and excellent results. About this function We are pursuing an Advisor who can provide support and advice to ensure delivery of high-quality reporting activities, strategic planning and prioritisation processes, and organisational performance monitoring within the Planning and Performance team. This includes: » monitoring performance information and developing reports that enable the leadership abilities Team and Minister to review progress and assess effectiveness in achieving our desired objectives » supporting the development of fit for purpose performance measures across the Ministry and coordinated information for the development of the Ministry’s accountcapability documents, including the Annual Report and Estimates. About you You will have practice with public sector planning, reporting and accountcapability processes and a tertiary qualification in a significant field or equivalent practice. We are seeking for Somebody with good relationship expertise and the capability to work collaboratively with staff across the Ministry. You need strong writing expertise and attention to detail in analysing and presenting performance information. You will also offer the following: » the potential to develop your technical expertise and knowledge in planning and reporting, contributing to wider work across the team and group » the capability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tangatawhenuatanga.
