Executive adjunct to GM Maori Impact:ESR HRJob description:Job DescriptionM?ori Impact Executive adjunctFull Time Christchurch He P?taiao He Tangata M?ori Impact Team ESR is a Crown Research Institute, working with and for clients and stakeholders to deliver enhanced scientific research services for the economic, environmental and social wellbeing of New Zealand. ESR has approximately 400 staff with sites across New Zealand. We’re undertaking an ambitious programme of transformation to achieve greater impact from our science and research; we are investing in deeper, more strategic research with M?ori communities across the motu for better health and environmental results. Your new function Reporting to the General Manager M?ori Impact you will provide executive assistance, financial assistance, and administrative support to the General Manager and the wider Maori Impact Group as required, to ensure the Group runs efficiently and senior management time is utilised as effectively as possible. You will be an important point of contact for the team, supporting logistics and arrangements for hui, w?nanga, meetings and travel. With a significant work programme ahead of the team, you’ll be engaging broadly across the organisation and beyond and will be comfortable and confident juggling multiple priorities. You’ll ensure systems and processes are in place to support the broader team and will provide an outstanding level of customer service to all your stakeholders. To be prosperous in this function we need you to bring: » An knowledge of Te Ao M?ori » A passion to build M?tauranga knowledge. » An consciousness in the working relationship of iwi, hap?, M?ori businesses, government agencies, and M?ori research communities. » At least five years previous practice in a significant administrative function. The capability to speak te reo M?ori would be an advantage.
