About the function
We have a great opportunity to join our leadership abilities team in our newly created R?p? Pae Ora (M?ori and Equity) function, as our Head of Cultural Partnering and Engagement.
The r?p? Pae Ora are accountable for driving the implementation of our M?ori Strategy (Wh?ia Te Tika), weaving Information technology into everything we deliver across the ACC and enabling our business leaders to deliver mahi that will make a real difference for M?ori.
?We want to make sure every leader, of every initiative, is driving improved results for M?ori, is set up to take the lead, build the cultural capcapability they need in their area to make progress and to deliver prosperous results.

Some of the important Mahi you will be involved in the following:
   » Lead a great team of Cultural Capcapability Partners who lead M?ori engagement to support the development of close connections with Iwi, hap? and M?ori communities across Aotearoa
   » You will be the kaitiaki of ACC’s engagement strategy with M?ori, including customers, their wh?nau, iwi, hap?, M?ori organisations, health sector providers, M?ori businesses and communities to support ACC’s strategic objective to remove barriers and improve services for M?ori
   » Lead and support the r?p? to work in partnership with business leaders, to deliver M?ori cultural skills, advice and guidance that supports the development of cultural capcapability enabling the delivery of improved services and results for M?ori
   » Lead mahi that will help others understand te Tiriti o Waitangi and M?ori results to support the delivery of ACC’s M?ori Strategy (Wh?ia te Tika), ensuring a Wh?ia te Tika and M?ori results lens is woven all over everything we do at ACC
What We are seeking for from you to be prosperous in this function will include the following:
   » Excellent leadership abilities skills, with the capability to engage people at all levels
   » practice in design and delivery of M?ori (Pacific and/or Asian) strategic initiatives and/or programmes to deliver change for M?ori (Pacific and/or Asian)
   » broad practice in M?ori engagement and strategic relationship management including established networks in M?ori communities and entities
   » A sound knowledge of tikanga M?ori and te reo M?ori with a deep knowledge of M?ori culture, values, political and social systems, including strong Iwi networks
   » broad knowledge of the application of te Tiriti o Waitangi.
   » M?tauranga M?ori practice and knowledge
   » A proven track record leading cultural change in an organisation to deliver improved results for M?ori
