Job Offer: Chef:Job description:ChefPayment: Paid Position ($25-7)Job location: Little River, Banks Peninsula Region: Christchurch & Canterbury practice: practice Necessary Contact: Jess Morrison Listing Added: 20/10/2022 We are Little River Cafe, a bustling rural cafe nestled in the valleys of Banks Peninsula, halfway between Akaroa and Christchurch. We are seeking for an practiced couple of staff to join our kitchen team in a permanent 40 hours a week function. These hours are typically done over four days giving you a very lovely three day weekend. We are extremely busy, so practice is a must. This can be a high pressure function requiring a calm head and really solid communication expertise. The function will include but will not be limited to.. Helping to run a team in a busy environment Serving and plating during service Food preparation, storage and rotation Ordering Staff training Food Control Plan monitoring Besides the expertise listed above we also have a vacancy for a front of house team member, ideally with coffee making practice. We typically send out around 400 coffees a day so practice is required to meet these demands. We have options for accomodation including an 2 bedroom apartment above the cafe that will be available for rent. Information technology has amazing views of the surrounding hills, a balcony and gets sun through the windows all day long. Our cafe is a really fun, positive place to work and Little River is a beautiful place to live and explore. We have hired through Backpackerboard many times in the past and have been lucky enough to meet some wonderful people from all over the world.
