The PSA Te P?kenga Here Tikanga Mahi is the largest union in New Zealand and is an innovative and dynamic organisation employing over 212 staff all over New Zealand. We have more than 83,000 members working in central and local government, health and community services. The focus of the PSA is to advance the interests of members through improvements in the political, industrial, economic and social environment. The PSA takes a strategic approach to building unionism.
The PSA has an ambitious agenda regarding Equity in the Workplace (Mana Taurite I ng? W?himahi). We are seeking for an Equal Pay Organiser for twelve months to cover parental leave. The Equal Pay Organiser provides assistance with strategic organising, education and development, and assisting the pay equity strategy. Our preference is that this position is located in Wellington.
We are seeking for Somebody with:
   » practice in organising
   » practice in planning and running campaigns
   » Knowledge of pay and employment equity issues
   » knowledge of how unions work and their function
   » Excellent communications expertise
The PSA Te P?kenga Here Tikanga Mahi is committed to honouring Te Tiriti O Waitangi across our organisation and the work we do. The income range for this position is$67,036 to $97,118. New employees enter the range on a starting rate located upon previous significant practice and commensurate with internal relativities. Progression to the top of the scale is by regular and automatic service steps.
