The Superb Opportunity
The Director Donor Services is a key leadership abilities function reporting to the CEO and contributes to the strategic direction and overall performance of the organisation as a member of the Executive leadership abilities Team. Providing strategic leadership abilities and operational management you will drive the performance of Donor Services through a diverse portfolio of activities from planning and strategy development through to operational service delivery to ensure that the clinical demand for products and services, and performance objectives, are met. This a national function with 370 staff in multiple locations, and includes functions such as donor collections, marketing and communications, training and development, Donation and Product Safety (DAPS) and therapeutic nursing services. You will build and strengthen leadership abilities within your direct reports and work closely with leaders within the technical, quality and supply chain areas to contribute to production planning and will ?own' product safety in this growing business.
The organisation is at a significant stage of growth and this function is responsible for driving and managing expansion in sites and staffing.
About You
Significant senior management and leadership abilities practice including national or regional operations, or general or operational management of a large, complex service is required, preferably with an knowledge of technical or regulatory environments. Proven practice in strategy development and execution, workforce planning and management, business and process improvement and providing inspirational leadership abilities to support, engage and develop a diverse workforce in a complex environment is also required. The capability to lead through a high level of engagement with strong communication, people management, relationship development and stakeholder engagement expertise is crucial to the success of this function, as is an open, approachable, collaborative, and influential style.
