We sharemilk 750 cows over 195 hectares of land. The address is 309 Macaulay road, Milford 7986. Browns beach and the Orari river border the farm. We milk the cows through a 50 bail rotary. We have 4 happy,friendly full time staff We are seeking for some help through the summer period.. We have casual staff members we call on when required and ourselves to keep the farm running. The position we have on offer is a full time fixed term or or job share for a couple. 45 to 70hrs/week depending on situation of the prosperousl applicant/candidates. tasks may include, Milking cows Stock work Tractor work Feeding calves Shifting break fences Maintain/ look after any used or gear supplied You will be supplied a 2 wheeler motorbike to get to and from work and around the farm.- training will be given if you haven't had any practice on motorbikes. A cell phone will be provided for work and personal use. This has endlessnational calls (for up to 2hrs at a time) , endlesstxt messages and 2G of data per month. Pay $22 per plus holiday pay, which is paid fortnightly. Roster 5 days on 2 days off Hours vary but a usual day this time of year is 4:30am start -5.30pm finish. 1hr unpaid breakfast break - 1hr unpaid lunch break. We will garantee the applicant ainimum of 30 hrs/week. Protective clothing We will issue you with wet weather gear and gumboots to use while working for us. Any safety equipment required to do your job is supplied by us. Accommodation The house available is a shared two bedroom furnished cottage The house and section is to be kept in a clean and tidy state. All staff have a 3 monthly house inspection to check the house is being looked after. Rent and power deduction from wages $180.00 per fortnight This job can be physically demanding at times, Information technology requires a positive "can do attitude" and most importantly, a calm, kind treatment of the stock. We do our best to create an enjoyable, easy going environment. We pride ourselves on keeping the farm, farm buildings, vehicles and gear in a clean and tidy condition.
