Unique contract opportunity for a proven Maintenance Manager to work within the property function of a well-respected aged care organisation, to lead a team of maintenance professionals.
Delivering quality and fit for purpose facilities to ensure the well-being and care of residents, this organisation has a large number of facilities across the North Island and this function will work in partnership with the Property Manager on maintenance and repairs, minor building projects and larger capital property projects.
The focus of the function is leadership abilities of a small team to ensure a well-coordinated planned maintenance programme approach, plus the capability to act on emergency or reactive repairs and advocating and coaching of staff to ensure quality and timely performance of services. There is opportunity to review operational effectiveness and efficiencies to provide recommendations on improvement, where required.
Therefore, we need an practiced Property Maintenance Manager with a trades qualification in mechanical building or significant building trades, who has proven practice in managing a maintenance function within hospitality, health or large commercial building sector, with a focus on health & safety compliance and service delivery. Sound expertise of building codes, systems, laws and regulations is essential, as is management of maintenance, building projects and on-site Contractors.
We need an empathetic yet dynamic professional with engaging communications and interpersonal expertise, able to gracefully manage and interact with various internal Business Managers and external stakeholders. Strong planning and budget management expertise are essential, as Information technology an ?eye' for continuous improvement.
Structured, credible, driven and resourceful will sum up the ideal contractor personal attributes, along with a proven background in maintenance service management (within a significant medium sized organisation).
