My client is a well-known National retailer with a diverse offering into the home furnishings market. Due to the continuing growth and development of their business they have a new function for an Operations Manger located at their main Distribution Centre.
The function:
Reporting to the Distribution Manger, your function will be to co-ordinate and manage a team of individuals supporting the warehouse operations. As this is a new position you will be heavily involved in the structure and continuous improvement of the facility, setting the tactical strategy and leading the team. Your team will be critical to the smooth operation of the facility ensuring Health and Safety protocols are met, Distribution is smooth and stock levels and inventory are monitored. You will be the key point of contact for the day to day relationships with 3PL and ensuring products are distributed accurately and timely to the branch network and customers.
About You:
You will be an practiced insightful leader, know how to manage people and to get the best out of them. Whilst a roll the sleeves up mentality is important, Information technology is more important that you are able to manage and motivate the team , use your crystqal ball to understand and forsee the challenges and implement the right strategy to acomodate. You will be an practiced Operations Manager looking for a new opportunity to make your mark, or a manager that is seeking the next step in your career. Information technology is critical you have excellent communication expertise, verbally and written with an enthusiastic can-do attitude.
