Atu mo te mahi – About the function
The Case Manager (ISR) function provides support to clients and their wh?nau following a family harm incident.
The Family and Sexual Harm service provides advice and support to service users and their wh?nau including but not limited to Shine Helpline, Family Violence Information Line, Elder Abuse Response Service, NZDF4U Helpline, Family Services and Directory Helpline and Safe to Talk/ K?rero mai ka ora. Phone lines are operational 7 days a week, including Public Holidays.
this function is situated in our Auckland offices from Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm with the potential of becoming a work in the house or hybrid option for suitably practiced candidates.
Your function will involve the following aspects:
   » located on delegated cases sourced from the Police you will be making outbound calls to clients to assess risk and put safety plans in place followed by appropriate resourcing
   » Supporting callers when they are experiencing a high-risk situation
   » Communicating with external agencies (including emergency services)
   » Keeping accurate documentation of notes and significant information on various data bases
   » Supporting the Family and Sexual Harm team and providing overflow support to connected service lines when required
   » Working closely with a supportive and collaborative team

   » Fundamental to the success in this function is your capability to influence and motivate others in a positive and constructive way, recognising and covering barriers to achieve goals
   » You can keep calm while managing stressful situations and working under pressure
   » Because of the diversity in New Zealand you can effectively work with any culture or background
   » Information technology is desirable that you hold a formal qualification but, alternatively you may have had several years’ practice in the community and are seeking to further develop your practitioner competencies
