I am looking for a Nurse who is extremely passionate about research work. This organization does a lot of commercial research as well as investigator initiated grants across 23 departments so if you wish to be a part of this organization, I would love to hear from you! advantages: » Competitive income (way more than any other research organizations) » 6 weeks annual leave • Wellness programmes » Christmas and New year shut down » No weekends, no on-calls, no shift work The Position » Reporting to the Research Operations Manager you will be part of a team of Research Nurses liaising with other internal staff and also external staff that include trial participants, research sponsors, DHB service departments and employees, and community health providers » Primarily you will manage clinical trial protocols, recruit participants for particular trials from eg: supplied database, review and assess their clinical conditions, enter their data, gain consent, co-ordinate clinic appointments, plans of care and advise Investigators of any changes » Medication, samples, etc, - everyday documentation and computer entry is all part of the protocol required » Also related to your clinical trials are other connected tasks - compliance with regulatory requirements, financial management & cultural sensitivity (acting as a patient advocate at all times) » As a Research Nurse you also supervise non-nursing staff, mentor others as appropriate, promote the participant database, and actively support your team members You » A NZ Registered Nurse with a current registrations » Minimum 2 years current (or very recent) practice in order to have the latest clinical safety expertise, excellent oral and written communication expertise, and an capability to manage pressure to meet varied trial deadlines. » A confident computer user (MS Word, Excel basics, Outlook), you will enjoy the predominantly phone/data/administrative mix of the function as well as the approx 20% face to face with your trial participants (the patients) » Proactive and able to think on the feet » Good with people expertise The Package Paid fortnightly, an excellent income is available, plus bonus; a 40 hour week Monday to Friday starting at 8am close proximity to public transport, opportunities for further career advancement, on the job training and orientation as research practice is not required.
