Offer: Senior and Principal Policy Analyst – Public Health System Policy:Ministry of HealthJob description:Job DescriptionOpportunity for Principal and Senior Policy Analysts in the Public Health System Policy Group» Broad range of social sector policy » capability to influence and work with cross agency stakeholders » Wellington located permanent positions The Public Health System Policy Group works on a range of cross-cutting health issues, including those with regulatory functions. You will work with other agencies and the health and discapability sector to provide advice on improving results for all New Zealanders. You’ll bring a thorough knowledge of public policy issues including Te Tiriti and equity requirements and have demonstrated success in developing fit for purpose policy advice in a dynamic environment. As a highly collaborative policy professional who can see the benefits of strong policy advice using data analysis and research to evidence advice, you bring with you a strong capability to take complex information and make Information technology significant across a range of audiences. Your written policy advice is able to be understood by a variety of stakeholders, breaking complex problems into achievable equitable solutions. As a Principal or Senior Analyst, you will be comfortable sharing your knowledge and mentoring analysts to grow their policy expertise. You are open to learning from others, seeking opportunities through your work to further grow both your written and analytical expertiseets. At times you will be part of virtual teams across the Ministry and sector, including policy, operational and clinical stakeholders. You’ll understand the machinery of government and know how to collaborate to get things done. You do not have to have a health background. Information technology is your capability to provide great policy advice that will see you succeed in this function.
