She has Spina bifida, and epilepsy, with this she requires extra supervision, therapeutic interventions and personal cares in her day to day activities. Along with assisting in my Daughters everyday routines, cares and having fun adventures together, you would be required to support her to work towards developmental goals i.e. mobility and independence, predominantly through play-located activities. Qualifications & practice » practice working with or raising children. » Full NZ Driver’s license. » Current First Aid Qualification. » Fully vaccinated for Covid 19. » This position would suit Somebody with practice in healthcare or education. Yet this is not necessary as full training will be provided. Tasks & responsibilities » Your function is to be a 'bridge' to assist my Daughter to become part of a community - of family, friends and the wider community. To help her build and maintain relationships with others outside of our home » You would assist my Daughter in her current functions, which include; carer of pets, gardener, swimmer, spider catcher, lego builder and rubbish bin emptier. These are all functions that she gets great joy from completing, yet needs a little assistance » Your function involves assistance with household tasks, when not involved with the cares of my daughter. This could include; meal preparation, laundry, dishes, vacuuming, cleaning and gardening Benefits » You would be working as part of a strong small team of two - three other amazing Nannies, all fully vaccinated for covid 19, working different shifts. » Hours of work per week negotiable, approximately 25 - 30 hrs / week available. » Flexible shift days and times available, generally weekday afternoons and weekend shifts available. » We value our team of carers, and the different strengths, skill and interests that they bring to our family. » Training and further development is encouraged and supported. » Opportunities to join us on trips away, and on outdoor adventures ie kayaking, tramping and camping, in a support function.
