About the function The medical assessment and planning unit has 16 beds and is a short stay unit for patients with medical problems and now also accepts surgical patients who require rapid assessment, priority investigations, early referral and intervention from allied health, and a multidisciplinary approach to discharge planning. Patients are either transferred from the Emergency department and or direct GP referrals. About you » Registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ). » A current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) and scope appropriate to place of work. » Demonstrates an knowledge of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, including how to apply Te Tiriti principles in a significant way in the nursing function. » Commitment to achieving equitable results for M?ori. » A personal commitment to on-going learning and development including attainment/maintenance of PDRP.
