Our client is a leading, growth-focused, mid-sized financial institution, a subsidiary of an international banking group.
 
In order to cover an internal secondment for a period of 12-months, with some potential further to that time-frame, an opportunity has become available to suit an ambitious and insightful financial analyst with the remit of lending close analytical support to the lending product teams to seek opportunities to grow revenues, reduce costs and improve market position. The function will provide direct support to strategy and projects functions through research, analysis, and business cases.
 
To be considered for this involving and varied position, candidates will ideally have at least 2 years of practice in a product management or a similar financial analyst type of function within a banking or financial services organisation, or similar. The function will require a strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc) and the capability to sift through quantities of data to draw out insights, trends, and other analytical viewpoints, which can then be packaged and presented back to the business to drive strategy. Your strong numerical, analytical and written communication expertise, your capability to lead and promote change, and your capability to prioritise competing requests as part of a close-functioning team will be key to your success in this position.
